We
spent a fine afternoon
up at Hosmer Lake with
my folks, and just made
it back to the cars as
the skies opened up and
the rain came down in
torrents. Happy Father's
Day!
A
few new pieces up in the

Tumalo
Creek has a section above
Shevlin park that I'd
never seen, so Evad and
I hiked up there this
morning to check it out.
It's a beautiful hike,
with fantastic cliffs
and rock
formations along the canyon
walls. We're heading
up to Hosmer Lake tomorrow
to do some canoeing with
my folks. Hopefully this
weather will start to
feel a bit more like summer
soon.

| It's
been a whirlwind couple
of weeks, to say the least.
A heartfelt thanks to
all my wonderful clients,
for keeping me really
busy. Been drawing, designing,
building, organizing,
and playing. Here's some
of the highlights. A few
weeks ago I met up with
a few good friends and
we floated the Deschutes
for our sometimes annual
salmonfly trip. Three
blissful days of watching
Eddie catch trout, listening
to the river flow, waving
at locomotives, scouting
for rocks, and ducking
poison oak. Photos:

Jen and I also got to
take the canoe out the
other day for the first
time. It was a little
tippy with evad. But he
soon figured out that
he was going to get wet
if he moved, and we made
the circumnavigation of
Sparks Lake without any
significant mishaps.
In the meantime, I finished
the bathroom and built
a workbench
in the garage.
Nick
and Sally came out to
visit this weekend, and
Nick and I made an attempt
at snowboarding Broken
Top. Of course it was
sunny and clear for 5
days before our trip,
but on our hike in Saturday
night, it started to cloud
over and we got about
an inch of snow in the
morning. It was beautiful
to see all the fresh snow,
but unfortunately, visibility
was shot, and we could
only climb to the foot
of the face we had intended
to ride. We still got
some nice turns down to
camp, but the we'll have
to wait for another day
to shred the steeper lines.
The last picture is of
Nick standing right in
front of the west face
of Broken Top. Not that
you can tell.

Well,
back at it. Updates of
recent work coming soon.
