It's a been a great week. Been learning things the hard way. Learned how to sweat copper pipes, learning how to drywall, and looking forward to laying my first tiles next week. The house is slowly transforming into a most comfortable domicile, one project at a time. I am going to try and get the project page up and running soon, so anyone interested can just go there to see pictures of what we've been working on. Been staying busy on all fronts, and I plan to start in on some new paintings as soon as some of these other projects are finished. Plans for a new show are in the works, and I will post details soon.

Rain. Man, it sure is a lot different when it rains out here. In Portland a light drizzle like this is a pretty nice day; plants sucking it up, turning green, earthy smells emerging everywhere. Not quite the same in Bend. Very grey, cold and a nice day for a fire. Fortunately, we had the fireplace inspected and cleaned last week. All the fire hazards were cleared away (including soot blackened branches hanging inches from the chimney) and we got the chimney cleaned out real good. Lots to do this weekend, tearing into a complete facelift of the guest bath, working on some drawings, and going to the dump. Have a fine weekend.

Been quite the busy week out here. Lots of projects going on. Time well spent at the drawing table, under the Heep, and walking the dog out by the river. So much to do, but enjoying every minute of it. Spent a few hours of quality time with the folks out in Camp Sherman before heading up to Seattle on Sunday. Happy Birthday mom, thanks for the party, and I hope you had a wonderful day. She's one of a kind, she is. Congrats to Nick and Sally on their new place out there, and thanks for the hospitality. Mighty good to see you both, it's been too long. Here's a few photos of goings on and what not.

UPDATES! I'm still figuring this out, but there's two new paintings up, and I threw in an old one for good measure. Woke up to a crisp, cold morning, and when I was out walking Evad, it started snowing pretty hard. Since I've been sitting here it's snowed about an inch. Got some big projects coming up, so I may have to call a board meeting and adjourn for the day to the slopes. Happy Friday!

Jen's Sunday is actually her Saturday, her Monday is her Sunday, and so on, so we decided to take a break yesterday and enjoy a little shredding up at Bachelor. 5-6" of new seems to be the perfect amount for Mt. B, soft enough to smooth everything out, but not too deep to bog down in. Definitely the best conditions of the year, in April! We finally picked out a new digital camera, so I should be able to post some shots of the new house soon. I'm working on organizing the galleries that are going into the 'projects' and 'recreatin' sections, and I hope to have those links up soon as well.

Had a fine trip to Portland on Friday. Got to see some real nice photos by miss Molly Quan and spend some quality time with good friends. Check em out at the Newspace Gallery. Scored some nice goodies for the house at the Rebuilding Center and Jen and I got a whole lot of unpacking done today. It's starting to look like home.

Well, I'm back. I'm all set up to start updating the site regularly, so there won't be any more of these three month coffee breaks. More updates and work to be posted soon...
